As you are aware that IRDA has categorized all licensed surveyors under A, B & C categories and further subdivided on the line wise business.
It has been decided to set the following limits for appointment of surveyors as below.


1. For A category surveyor – Above Rs.5000000/-

2. For B category surveyor- up to Rs.5000000/-

3. For C category surveyor- up to Rs.1500000/-


Further it is decided that all claims above Rs.25/- lakhs needs to be referred to HO claims for final approval and appointment of the surveyors. For detailed list of surveyors and categories please refer to the IRDA web site “www.irdaindia@org”

These revised financial limits shall come in force with immediate effect.
Head Office reserve the right to appoint surveyor of a different category if circumstances demand.
Any deviation shall require the approval of the Head Claims and all such deviations shall be documented.

All are advised to make a note of the revised limits.
